The new site will include a new, modular based, layout. All videos will have a preview from the listing page as well as a small description of what you can expect to learn.

With the new site, I will be implementing monthly live webinars for all current Pro members and above. These webinars will feature up to date information about what’s going on in the world of WordPress as well as tips and tricks that you can implement immediately to keep your site strong and on the cutting edge. You can also expect the occasional featured guest to pop in from time to time and present you with amazing ideas and techniques.

All members will also receive a once-per-week newsletter called WPC Weekly. This newsletter will keep you informed on what’s new inside The WordPress Classroom, keep you up to date about the upcoming webinars, as well as feature weekly tips and tricks from myself, users, and special guests.

If that isn’t enough for you, I have negotiated special deals with some of the creators of some of the hottest WordPress plugins and themes to offer members special, exclusive deals. I’ll be reviewing products and pointing you to places to get them for cheaper than the rest of the population!

Because I add several new videos every single month, the list of videos is becoming more and more overwhelming. I’m working on a brand new layout to better organize all of the videos in to a logical and intuitive layout. My goal is to make it much easier to find the exact video that you are looking for.

I’m also putting together a free weekly newsletter for all members of the WordPress Classroom. The newsletter will include details about all of the most recent videos, what videos are in the queue, what’s hot in the forum, and will give some awesome weekly tips to further improve your WordPress blog. Due to the large volume of videos in the archives here at the WPC, I feel it’s necessary to keep you as updated as possible on the newest and freshest videos being added.

The WordPress Classroom Volume 1 DVD is also in the works. It will be released within the next four weeks or so and will include a complete step by step guide of how to get your first blog set up, what plugins to install, how to create content, and how to get traffic. It will be released both here and over at Amazon.com but existing WPC members will get the first opportunity with a huge discount. Keep checking back for more details on this project.

Last but not least, I’m in the process of finding and hiring some more permanent moderators for the forum. I want to make sure that all questions and requests and handled and taken care of as fast as possible. After all, I don’t want anyone to have to search anywhere else for any of the WordPress questions. I’ve known of some great plugins to do this. There are defintiely quite a few out there. However, most of the plugins that I know of are actually quite pricey.

So what I’ve decided to do is create a series of videos that detail how to create a membership site using nothing but free tools. I’ve scoured the internet and played with a whole bunch of code. I think I’ve put together the best solution to create a membership site using nothing but free plugins and a few code tweaks here and there!

This series of videos will be in about 4 or 5 parts (maybe more). The first part is up now and the 2nd part will be live tomorrow.

Keep checking back because I’m really excited about this. I’ve never seen anyone else teaching this and my methods are definitely comparable to the super high priced membership plugins that are out there!

I have decided that Wednesdays will be the new video day. I am going to post a brand new video with either a new technique or an update to and old technique every single Wednesday. The new videos that are going to come out on Wednesdays will be based on what the forum suggests. For the most part, I will take what seems to be the most in demand subject and make a video based on that. So if there’s any videos that people really want to see but I haven’t made yet, start getting those ideas in the “Request a Video” section. I will do my best to make them by most popular demand.

I am doing this for two reasons…

1) This gives me a deadline and a routine. It will keep me on track with making sure I consistently add new videos to the site by giving me a routine to follow every week.

2) Members of this site are not left wondering when a new video will be coming out.

This coming Wednesday, August 11th, you can expect 2 new videos… I will be updating the old Aweber video about adding an opt-in to your sidebar. I will also be discussing how to install and implement WordPress 3.0′s new feature of managing multiple blogs from the same WordPress dashboard.

That’s what you have to look forward to with this site… I will still continue to pop in to the forum every single day and do my best to help with your WordPress questions.

Feel free to leave any ideas, comments, or suggestions on my new plan :)

It has been a long time coming but I’ve finally got the new layout and the new forum working quite nicely. You will find new videos in the members section and you will also notice that there will be new videos every single month. Feel free to hop in to the brand new forum and discuss some of the videos that you would like to see made.

This new site is designed to be a one-stop source for everything WordPress related. There will eventually be hundreds of videos in here. If you can’t find the answers you’re looking for in one of the videos, hop in to the forum. One of your fellow students, myself, or one of my moderators will most likely be able to help you out. If that’s not enough, the questions that pop up in the forum will become the future member videos!
